welcome…
I’m Tara, a writer, photographer, and archaeology student based in Dublin, by way of New York.
I’m interested in how people make a life: the things we build, the stories we inherit, the places we leave, and what we carry with us. That curiosity takes me between archaeological archives, ancient pottery, photographs, films, and the occasional essay that was supposed to be much shorter.
I’m completing my studies in Archaeology, Classics and Art History at University College Dublin, with research experience at Knossos in Crete. Here, I bring that work into conversation with the writing and images I’ve gathered along the way.
My curiosity has always moved between subjects. Questions about objects become questions about memory; questions about the past become questions about power, belonging, and how we care for one another.
Tara Incognita is a place to follow those connections—and leave room for what I haven’t understood yet.
